On Tuesday, two youth, along with a promising cricketer have been killed in the Handwara, nearly 85 kilometer from here, when Army had opened fire for the scattering the stone-pelting crowd who have been protesting over supposed molestation of a girl by some of their people.
Mehbooba Mufti – the Chief Minister of the state has told that the security personnel who have been involved in killing of the youth would be given a typical punishment as such incidents can’t be tolerated since it will have a “negative impact” on the government of the state for the efforts to unite the efforts of the peace.
Investigation on the Incident
Army had been ordered an inquiry where as the Police officials of the Jammu & Kashmir have registered a criminal case regarding this incident and they have started investigations on the incident which has triggered more protests in the Handwara and had a boom in the districts of the Srinagar as well as Pulwama of the Kashmir. But, the trouble has begun with the protests by the locals of the Handwara over the suspected molestation of the girl.
Army Person Attacked by Handwara Chowk Public
The spokesman of the police which giving the details regarding the incident has told that in just few minutes of supposed incident of the girl molestation by a man of Army, people in huge numbers have been gathered to the place and had made and attack on the Army bunker in Handwara chowk. The spokesperson also added that, they have beaten the personnel who have been present there, searched the bunker and they have also attempted for setting the fire to the bunker.
In revenge to this, the security forces that have been deployed there have used force for dispersing the aggressive storm of crowd. In this process, two people Nayeem Qadir Bhat and Mohammad Iqbal have been sustained fire-arm injuries. After that, they were taken to the hospital where they, sadly, give way to their injuries, police said and they deeply regrets for the loss of their life’s.
The spokesman of the police finally added that, a criminal case was registered in the incident happened at Handwara and investigations have already started for determining the facts.
